According to CNN, the new logo is the "first facelift" that it got in 20 years.

The refreshed brand identity will enable Walmart to enhance its credibility and foster connections, positioning itself as a leader in convenient digital-first services and as a more contemporary, culturally vibrant brand.

Walmart is set to implement its refreshed branding across various platforms, including its website, app, physical stores, and the new Home Office scheduled to open in Bentonville, Arkansas, in January 2025. The retailer began this rollout in October 2024, kicking off with Store 4108 located in Springdale, Arkansas. Over the coming months, the remaining stores will undergo redesigns as well.

The official launch of the new and updated brand will be done on Walmart.com, as well as the Walmart app. In January, the new refreshed look would also be rolled out across marketing campaign assets, and the rest of the assets of the company spread throughout the year.
